Fighting Your Traffic Ticket May Be Your Best Option

A Single traffic ticket can be very costly to you as an individual. Most people never realize that defending themselves is oftentimes a much cheaper route to take than simply paying the ticket and moving on. Here are several reasons for you to fight that ticket.

1. Points on your license can lead to suspension. Florida determines your driving status based on a points system. The more points you acquire the more danger your license is in. 12 points in 12 months and the state can suspend your driver’s license.

2. Rising Insurance costs. You pay your fair share of insurance now, right? Well, your insurance company wants to know how great a risk you are as a driver. One of the ways they can determine this is if you have any traffic violations. A traffic violation can raise your insurance rates.

3. A revoked or suspended license can result. How challenging would life be with a suspended or revoked license. This is a possible result and can be caused by several factors. For example, you usually have only 30 days to respond to your ticket and if you do not then that could lead to a suspended license. Also certain violations or just getting too many points can lead to serious issues as well. If it does get revoked you could be without a license for 5 years.

4. You could have a serious issue with your employer. For commercial drivers their license is their source of income. For some commercial drivers insured is handled by the employer and a ticket can cause a rise in the employer’s insurance rates. Some employer’s may chose to terminate an employee rather that having higher insurance costs for the company.

5. You can be issued an arrest warrant! Who wants a warrant! No one does but if you fail to take action on a criminal traffic ticket that may happen. Some courts will issue a warrant to compel you to appear and address the issue.

6. A violation can lead to a criminal record and/or imprisonment. There are different levels of ticket violations. More serious traffic violations may be deemed misdemeanors. A misdemeanor is a criminal offense and can impact your immigration status or employment. Some can even cause jail time.

As you can see there are potentially serious consequences from even a minor traffic violation. Make sure you know your rights and options and take action to prevent these things from happening.

I do not think so. There is a reason for the ticket and it could be that you are driving under the influence and that you have a drug problem. Then you need a drug rehab fast.
