How Come Drunk Driving When You’re Young Is Acceptable, But Belonging To A Socialist Youth Club Isn’t?

Why should people be excluded from government appointed jobs or running from public office if they were part of the campus socialists or whatever when they were kids?
But somehow the same people who condemn them as current communists for what they did when they were 18 or 20 are willing to forgive drunk driving? What the hell?

    Who says they should be excluded? It’s a free country. Doesn’t mean we have to vote em in or approve of them.

    How many core principles do you differ with today as when you were 20 or so? Now I am not talking about on the surface things but true beliefs. Probably not a whole lot.
    And I do not forgive drunk driving, while I think the laws in place today do little to deter it and that they set limits based on pure stupidity, that is another topic.
    I would be interested in what led you to that correlation.
    Depending on the office, socialists can do more harm to more people than a drunk driver. 300 million versus, what 30 max., but as I said, I do not condone drinking and driving.

    It would seem that based upon the fact that we elected a President who was a card carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America + an admitted narcotics abuser …….anything goes and the less acceptable the better.

    Cons can empathize with wanting to get drunk, or even wanting to give BJ’s in the airport men’s room. But there’s one thing they can NEVER understand: Wanting to help your fellow man.
