Seven years, four for any undergraduate degree and three for law school.
Family law attorneys do not do criminal defense work, different court systems, different rules, different charges. Family law is generally restraining orders, divorce work, child custody, etc.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but juvenile defense attorneys never rake in a lot of money. They’re usually people who — brace yourself — are more concerned with kids than how much money they make.
To answer your question: 3 years is the typical time people spend in law school no matter what kind of law you study.

same as every other lawyer – long enough to graduate law school (which caries) and pass the bar in your state (which also varies).

So if your more worried about the money you make than the people you help. This is not the job for you! I would love to be an Lawyer!

If it’s making money your concerned about then it’s better to go into business / commercial / corporate law. What’s more important, making money or helping people?

I would figure it would be the same for any law program. I think you could find the answer on the university’s website that you are looking to attend.

Family Law and Criminal Law are two different things so I don’t really understand your question. Family law is dealing with family issues such as divorce etc.
